They say we Maritimers love to talk about the weather and this wedding day in August at Seafoam on the groom’s family farm gave us a little bit of everything, weather wise, to talk about. At first it felt like mother nature was showing off a bit, trying to impress the bride and other guests who traveled here from England and other far off places, with the beauty of our coastline and a perfect blue sea and sky. I’m not sure if we weren’t paying enough attention to the show or what because shortly after the ceremony, menacing black clouds came rolling in. There was a little bit of rain, some clearing. A lot of rain, thunder and lightening, a little bit of blue sky. Sun beaming through a break in the clouds, a rainbow. More torrential rain. A stunning sunset. Rain. Clear skies for fireworks. Either way it was a spectacular show that won’t soon be forgotten.
Of course it wasn’t all about the weather. There was lots of love, family, friends, food and merriment to go around as well. Congratulations Ryan and Sarah. We wish you all the best as you take on new career challenges, and thanks for having us!
